Ilesa Book Club Mourns the Passing of Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, Owa Obokun of Ijesaland

 ILESA BOOK CLUB MOURNS THE PASSING OF OBA GABRIEL ADEKUNLE AROMOLARAN, OWA OBOKUN OF IJESALAND



Members and executives of the Ilesa Book Club have expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, who recently joined his ancestors after a remarkable reign of 42 years. 


The prominent Yoruba monarch, who was aged 87, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be etched in the hearts of his people and beyond.


Oba Aromolaran was a distinguished and revered figure in Ijesaland, where his reign was marked by wisdom, peace, and a commitment to the welfare of his people. 


His leadership was characterized by a deep sense of responsibility, devotion to the traditions of the Yoruba people, and an unwavering dedication to the progress of his kingdom.


In his lifetime, Oba Aromolaran not only served as the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland but also held the prestigious position of Chairman of the Osun State Council of Traditional Rulers.
